Advisory Board
We are actively building our Advisory Board — a circle of leaders, entrepreneurs, and community voices who will help shape the ECC Black Chamber from the ground up.
What the Advisory Board Will Do
The ECC Black Chamber Advisory Board is a group of committed leaders who provide strategic guidance, community connection, and accountability as we build toward our official launch in early 2027. Advisory Board members do not hold fiduciary responsibility — that oversight belongs to our fiscal sponsor, Dream2b. Instead, Advisory Board members serve as the living link between the Chamber and the community it is built to serve.
This is a meaningful role. Advisory Board members will shape the programs we build, the partnerships we pursue, and the values we carry forward. If you are rooted in East Contra Costa County and invested in Black business success, we want you at the table.
Strategic Guidance
Advise on program design, community priorities, and organizational direction during the founding phase and beyond.
Community Connection
Serve as a bridge between the Chamber and the Black business community, civic organizations, and local institutions in East Contra Costa County.
Advocacy & Amplification
Amplify the Chamber's mission and help open doors to partners, sponsors, and collaborators aligned with our work.
Accountability
Help ensure the Chamber stays true to its founding values: community-first, free of nepotism, and built in authentic service to Black entrepreneurs.
Who We're Looking For
We are not looking for résumés — we are looking for roots. Advisory Board members should be genuinely connected to East Contra Costa County and committed to the long-term success of Black entrepreneurship in this region.
Rooted in East Contra Costa County
You live, work, or have deep ties to Pittsburg, Antioch, Brentwood, Oakley, or the surrounding region.
Invested in Black Business Success
You have a genuine stake in the growth and sustainability of Black-owned businesses — whether as an entrepreneur, advocate, civic leader, or community member.
Aligned With Our Values
You believe in accountability, transparency, and community-first leadership. You understand why this chamber is being built free of nepotism and insider positioning.
Willing to Show Up
Advisory Board members are expected to participate actively — sharing perspective, making connections, and helping guide decisions as the Chamber grows.
