ECC Mission
The guiding purpose behind everything we are building.
"The ECC Black Chamber exists to empower, advocate for, and elevate Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs throughout East Contra Costa County."
Why We Do What We Do
The ECC Black Chamber is being built to close economic equity gaps by cultivating a supportive ecosystem grounded in four core pillars: education, access, collaboration, and opportunity.
The economic disparities facing Black-owned businesses are not accidental — they are the result of decades of systemic exclusion from capital, contracting, networks, and policy decisions. Our purpose is to dismantle those barriers and build something better in their place. We will officially launch in early 2027.
We are doing this not as an abstract exercise, but as a direct investment in the people, families, and futures of East Contra Costa County's Black community.
Education
Equipping entrepreneurs with knowledge, tools, and skills to build and sustain thriving businesses.
Access
Opening doors to capital, contracts, certifications, and networks that have historically been out of reach.
Collaboration
Forging strategic alliances with civic, corporate, and institutional partners to expand opportunity.
Opportunity
Creating visible, sustainable pathways for Black businesses to be discovered, supported, and celebrated.
Where We're Headed
A thriving, Black-led economic landscape where businesses are sustained, scaled, and celebrated.
